At a faculty meeting on February 7, 2013, Todd Savage, President of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Head of School Search Committee, notified the Lincoln Academy faculty of the Search Committee’s decision to extend the search for the next Head of School to assume office on July 1, 2013 when the current Headmaster, Jay Pinkerton, steps down.

He thanked them for their enthusiastic participation in the search process and commented that the Search Committee was especially grateful to an Advisory Committee comprised of key constituent groups, as well as other community members, who met with and interviewed candidates invited to campus thus far.
“Lincoln Academy deserves the very best possible leadership going forward. We continue to seek the individual we believe will best help us meet the challenges and embrace the opportunities ahead. If it takes a little longer, we are confident that we will identify that leader and will continue to seek the input of all stakeholders.” Mr. Savage stated further that as additional candidates are invited to campus as part of the public stage of the process, the community would be kept informed.
