Lincoln Academy’s “Sounds of the Season” Concert was snowed out on December 15. Come join the choirs of Lincoln Academy for a little extended holiday cheer by ringing in the New Year for the re-scheduled concert on Sunday, January 12 at 7:00 p.m., St. Patrick’s Church in Newcastle. Directed by Beth Preston and accompanied by Sean Fleming, the 90 voices of the Lincolnaires Chamber Choir, Lincolnaires Concert Choir, Eagle Male Chorus, and Cameo Treble Choir will join forces to sing songs of the holiday season. Included on the program will be featured soloists and instrumentalists from the choral groups as well as guest instrumentalists, Carol Preston, violin and Quinn Gormley, percussion. The program represents a mix of seasonal selections from many cultures. The audience will be invited to sing along with some of the traditional carols and Auld Lang Syne. The Damariscotta-Newcastle Rotary Club will once again lend a hand as ushers at the door. Admission is by suggested donation of $10 for families, $5 for individuals.
