The Lincoln Academy Garden Club gathered produce from the student garden on campus last week in preparation for Maine Harvest Lunch Week.  Students and staff worked together to harvest potatoes, beets, tomatoes, and other vegetables that were used to make beef vegetable stew for Harvest Lunch on September 24 in the Lincoln Dining Commons.

This giant pumpkin raised by the Garden Club will be featured in October's Damariscotta Pumpkinfest celebration.

The Garden Club is not yet finished for the season; they are still taking care of their giant pumpkins for Pumpkinfest in October, as well as their asparagus and garlic beds that will need to be prepared for winter, and the mini orchard, which is pruned and maintained year around.  For more information on the LA Garden Club contact faculty advisor Jake Abbott at jabbott@lincolnacademy.org.
