The Sounds of the Season concert was a perfect way to finish out the month of December and get ready for winter break. With three different groups participating, the Lincolnaires, Concert Choir, and Cameo, we had the chance to hear to some very artfully selected and beautiful performed pieces. The concert took place at St. Patricks Church, the oldest Catholic Church in continual use in all of New England.
There was a lovely solo from one of our Turkish students, Simay, in a Turkish song!
Thanh, a senior this year from Vietnam, accompanied one of the pieces on piano.
The church was beautiful and festively decorated. The smiles on the students faces were captivating! They had worked hard to get to this concert; we had heard them singing many times in the hallways of the dorm as they practiced. They looked nervous and proud. It was a wonderful performance by all.
Mrs. Preston, our accomplished Choral Director, should be just as proud as the students. She picked a unique selection of songs to highlight the diversity of the singers talents and to warm our hearts this holiday season.
