Lincoln Academy’s iconic bell tower is one of the sights Alumni come home to see.

Lincoln Academy will celebrate 2015 Alumni Weekend on June 5 and 6. The weekend kicks off Friday, June 5 with a reception hosted by Head of School David Sturdevant and his wife Beth at their campus residence, Borland Hall, from 5-7 p.m.

On Saturday, June 6 the Alumni Banquet will be held in the Alumni Dining Commons. There will be tours of the school and campus from 4:00-5:00, followed by a social hour with music provided by pianist Sean Fleming. Beer and wine will be available at a cash bar served by Stone Cove Catering. The Alumni Banquet will begin at 6:00 followed by Head of School David Sturdevant’s “State of the School Address” and the traditional banquet program.

The banquet will feature a buffet of prime rib, baked stuffed haddock,  chicken marsala, green beans and lentils and whipped potatoes with assorted desserts. The buffet will be catered by Stone Cove Catering.

The Alumni Council will present the 2015 Alumnus of the Year Award to Glenn Chadbourne, Class of 1978 and the Alumni Service Award to Cathy Fish Walker, Class of 1962.

Cynthia Allen ‘54, Nort Fowler ‘62, Cathy Fish Walker ‘62, Carole Fowler ‘64, Margie Baldwin ‘65 and Shirley Welton ‘65 will also be recognized for their outstanding service to the Alumni Council.

Lincoln Academy is calling back all of its alumni and friends to enjoy the Alumni Weekend events, to renew old friendships while reacquainting themselves with their Alma Mater. Attendees will be able to see the new Cable-Burns Applied Technology and Engineering Center, the new Residence Hall, and the construction progress of the all-weather surface, multi-sport facility scheduled to be ready for fall competition.
