LA Students recognized for excellence in Spanish by the World Languages Department.

Lincoln Academy’s World Languages Department is pleased to announce that the following students are being recognized on Friday, May 22 for excellence in French, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese. Students were selected based on their work ethic, enthusiasm, ability, contribution to class and overall effort.

The following students were recognized in French:

French I:  Gabrielle Kimball, Thanh Nguyen, Lumin Phan, Katie Palmer, Amy Tran and Grace Wehrle

French II: Carly Ransdell, Mary Reid, and Noelle Timberlake

French III:  Isabel Carlson, Kate Westhaver and Avae Traina

French IV: Elise Dumont and Simay Tanrovier

French V:  Marta Berta and Alejandro Ramos Sánchez

The following students were recognized in Spanish:

Spanish I:  Samantha Aho, Cheyenne Cash, Logan Eckel, Mackenzie Ford, Lexi Hartford and Kristyna Skyvova

Spanish II: Kyle Baty, Ashley Budd, John Henry, Annie Farnsworth, Constance Mullin and Bailey Plourde

Spanish III:  Liam Dworkin, Elizabeth Gilbert, Emily Guy,  Shiann Keene, James Palmer, Alyx York and Olivia York

Spanish IV: Katherine Laemmle, Johanna Neeson and Braeden Waddell

Other Recognitions:

Eve Corbett (L) and David Kim (R) were recognized for their achievements in Japanese and Mandarin. Eve will study in Japan next year.

We recognize Eve Corbett for her exceptional work ethic and enthusiasm in studying Japanese language and culture.

We recognize David Kim for his outstanding work ethic and strong drive to achieve excellence in Elementary Mandarin Chinese. Poppy Dong is recognized for her dedication to the Chinese program.

The World Languages Department would also like to recognize Aidan Shadis who will study in Spain, and Eve Corbett who will be studying in Japan next year.

The Excellence in Foreign Languages awards for Seniors will be presented at Class Night on June 1st.
