On Sunday August 16 from 9-4 Lincoln Academy ATEC Program Director and Technology Coordinator Maya Crosby and her Lincoln Academy Information Technology team (LA IT) will host a Tech Help day for LA families. This day is designed to support families navigate InfoSnap, the new electronic registration system that has been adopted by all of AOS 93 and Lincoln Academy. “InfoSnap will make life easier and more streamlined for both families and the school in the long run,” says Crosby. “Student information, including permission forms and athletic forms can be accessed and updated much more easily using InfoSnap. But change always brings questions, so we are trying to help families navigate this system so they can not only register their student this summer, but use it effectively throughout the year.”
InfoSnap went live August 10, and links were emailed to all Lincoln Academy families. Families can find all InfoSnap forms through their PowerSchool Account. If families have questions about accessing PowerSchool, please call Carole Brinkler at 563-3596 ext. 102.
Families should note that Lincoln Academy students will not be allowed to participate in athletics unless they have filled out their athletic forms on InfoSnap, which are now available. Pre-season sports begin August 17 for all Lincoln Academy fall teams.
The LA Tech Help Day will take place in the school’s new Cable-Burns Applied Technology Center, which is behind the LA gym and the new turf field. Families can come any time during the hours of 9am-4pm, and either bring their own device (smart phone, tablet, or laptop) or log on to InfoSnap using a school computer.
“Families are encouraged to access InfoSnap through their PowerSchool account at home starting August 10,” says Crosby. “Registering LA students electronically should be fairly straightforward. But we are here to help anyone who needs some extra support.”
