Fall sports are irrevocably tied to the feeling of Autumn. The crisp chill in the air, hot apple cider at the booth, the game under the lights while you gather on the bleachers with your new friends, practices on the field while the leaves change colors, and the excitement at the end of the day because there is a game that night.
Under the lights. Or, in the warm light of a windy Autumn day.
One of the best ways our residential students make close friendships with day students is through those sports. They start the year knowing no one, and within a few days, they have got new friends.
Those friendships may start in the fall, but there is no doubt that they last throughout the year.
