With the end of homecoming follows the beginning of autumn at Lincoln Academy. Temperatures are cooling off and the mid-trimester is quickly approaching. The changing leaves and vibrant sunsets paired with Lincoln’s red-brick exterior embody the ambience of fall in New England. Now that classes have fully settled into their routines, students also must maintain healthy work habits and not fall behind this early into the year. While the themed days, scavenger hunts, and spirit flag searches of homecoming provided a nice balance to homework and Monday morning exams, the school week now centers mainly on academics and figuring out how to be at three club meetings during the same lunch period. Fortunately, a four day weekend following next week serves as a well-placed interlude to allow students some rest after completing the first month of school. Homecoming at Lincoln Academy allows both new and returning students to finish settling into classes and adjust to the atmosphere of the fall season.
