This Thursday, November 12 from 6-9 pm, the Lincoln Academy Chapter of the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) will host a Coffee House in the Lincoln Academy Dining Commons. This event is open to the public, and costs $5 per person. Funds raised will support the HEART Foundation.
Comprised of students’ with an interest in art and standard of service, the National Art Honor Society is a facet of creativity, embodying and encouraging art throughout the community. After weeks of planning, the societies’ network of artists are ready to showcase their first public event. On Thursday, the NAHS will be displaying student art, live entertainment, baked goods, and coffee. The cosy ambiance of soft lighting, paired with student and community talent will transform Lincoln’s cafeteria into a coffee house for the evening. Performances range from slam poetry, to an eclectic platform of music, both vocal and instrumental. While listening, coffee house patrons can enjoy an assortment of baked goods and coffee, catered by club members. Tickets, priced at five dollars, will include one free coffee and baked item. Assuring education and healing through the arts, the National Art Honor Society will donate its proceeds to the HEART foundation; a relief program proven to save the world’s most vulnerable children through artistic expression. The National Art Honor Society encourages the Lincoln County community and beyond, to enjoy a lively night of artistic talent.
