On Sunday, December 6 at 6 pm at the Damariscotta Baptist Church, the LA Bands will perform their annual “Winter Pops!” Concert. This concert will include all Lincoln Academy instrumentalists in various combinations, including Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, all three jazz bands, and the 70 piece Combined Band for the “Sleigh Ride” finale. “The concert will include a combination of seasonal music, and music that we practice year round,” said band director, Liz Matta. “The Wind Ensemble will compete at the Heritage Music Festival in New York City in April.  Two of those competition pieces will be performed. There will be something for everyone to enjoy.” Admission is by donation at the door, and all proceeds will be used toward student cost of the New York City trip.
