The public is invited to a Community Tech Night at Lincoln Academy on Wednesday, March 16th from 5:30-7:30pm in the Cable-Burns Applied Technology and Engineering Center (ATEC). Students from the LA Computer Science Course and members of the LA Innovation and Technology (LA IT) team will be available to provide technology support for computers, tablets and mobile devices.
Participants are invited to bring phones that need setting up, laptop computers that often crash, iPads that need apps installed, or any other device issues that they have trouble dealing with at home. Members of the LA IT team will be on hand to work one-on-one with community members.
“Our students are trained to provide tech support to the staff and student computers within Lincoln Academy,” explained Maya Crosby, Program Director at ATEC, who also teaches computer science and advises the LAIT Team at LA. “We are hoping the general public will come and take advantage of the students’ training and skills by bringing us computer, phone, tablet, and other devices that need servicing. LA IT is here to help!”
ATEC is located behind the Lincoln Academy gym, next door to the new dormitory. There is available parking in front of the building. Community Tech Night is free tech support for anyone who needs it. No reservation is required.
