Below please find additional dates and other information for Lincoln Academy families. More detailed start-of-school information is now available on the Parents/Guardians page of the LA website.
All Lincoln Academy students should register for school by August 15. Registration must be completed online via the AOS93/Lincoln Academy InfoSnap portal, which opens for 2016 registration on August 6. Parents will be invited to the InfoSnap portal via email by August 6. A registration help session will be offered on Sunday, August 14 from 1-4 in the Lincoln Academy ATEC building behind the gym. At this session families can complete registration forms with help from a member of the LA Innovation & Technology team. Families can bring their own device or use an LA computer to register.
Fall student athletes will need to submit a sports physical in addition to their InfoSnap registration by August 15 in order to participate in pre-season practices, which begin that day. The School-Based Health Center will be offering sports physicals on the LA campus from 12-3 PM on Friday, August 5. Please visit the Lincoln Academy Athletics page for individual sports’ schedules, coaches’ contact information, and a printable PDF of the sports physical form.
Lincoln Academy families should note the new Lincoln Academy student computing policy, which is replacing the school-issued device model with a Bring-Your-Own-Device model, effective this fall. Beginning in September 2016 all Lincoln Academy students will be required to bring a device (laptop or tablet) to school every day. Chromebooks are the recommended device for student who plan to purchase a device this summer, as they offer high functionality at an affordable price of around $150. For more information about the new technology policy parents can read this letter from David Sturdevant. Find a Chromebook buying guide here. Assistance will be provided for families for whom purchasing a device is a hardship. Click here to fill out a form to request to purchase a used Chromebook at a reduced price.
