As this fall has provided extended opportunities for photography due to warm temperatures and spectacular light and foliage, Ms. Sylvia’s Digital Photography class took advantage recently by walking down to the Riverside Boat Company of Newcastle for a photo field trip. Students worked with a variety of cameras, capturing the amazing leafy scenery and the unexpected beauty of a wooden boat facility which has been run by the Bryant family for three generations. Students were charged with finding rhythm and pattern and unusual viewpoints among the boats, equipment and shoreline of the Damariscotta River. Back at the ATEC building, the students worked on creative post-processing techniques to improve their images. Photos shown are by (left to right) Polina Scimone, Casey Prior, and Shuyu Pang.
