The Bath Regional Career and Technical Center (BRCTC) recently honored their Students of the Semester, and the award-winners included Lincoln Academy students Colleen Kaplinger and Nathan Simmons, who both take classes at BRCTC.
As part of the award ceremony each student was described by their instructors. Here is the feedback given to the two award winners:
“Colleen Kaplinger is a first year carpentry student. She is an amazing young lady and has a natural knack for the carpentry trade. Colleen is a quick learner and has a great ability to work with numbers. She is a leader in the class, often completing assignments early and taking the initiative to help her classmates. Colleen demonstrated her skills carpenter, earning her the opportunity to compete this year at the state SkillsUSA competition as a first year student.”
“Nathan Simmons is enrolled in Welding Fabrication I this year. He is a hard working, ambitious young man with an excellent attitude. Nathan is a good welder who pays close attention to detail. The quality of his work is evident in the shop. He is a good role model and will be successful at whatever he chooses to do in life.”
