Members of Alpha Sigma Gamma are some of the volunteers that will be helping out during the MLK Day of Service on January 15.

Lincoln Academy volunteers will join with Lincoln County Baha’i congregation to offer a day of service on January 15, 2018. On this day volunteers will offer their services to anyone who needs help with household chores, technical assistance, or other work. Past projects have included snow shoveling, packing up Christmas decorations, computer help, running errands, and stacking wood, according to Rosalee Landry, a member of the Baha’i congregation who helps coordinate the event every year.

This year the Alpha Sigma Gamma service fraternity will be joined by the Sigma Sigma Chi service sorority and members of the Interact Club. All three Lincoln Academy organizations are student clubs whose primary mission is community service.

Members of the public who have a need, or know someone who has a need for help on January 15, can call the Lincoln Academy front desk at 563-3596 ext. 102 or email Alpha Sigma Gamma advisor Thomas Kothe at kothe@lincolnacademy.org, and give the details of the job they need done and their contact information. Requests for services will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
