The American Labor Day holiday on Monday marked the official end of summer for us in Maine.  Despite the calendar notation, we enjoyed warm days and plenty of outdoor fun over the long weekend.  The 6th Annual Residential Life Lobster Bake took place at Pemaquid Point and students and staff explored the local harbor in sea kayaks, cooled down with some dock swimming, and played various games in the dorm.  This also marked the first full week of academic classes.  While our students get settled into the school routine, we look forward to an “all-in service weekend” ahead.  Every student living on campus will participate in a community service project helping at a local elementary school, non-profit group, or housing improvement organization.  We will truly engage in what it means to be a part of both the local, and regional community here in Mid Coast Maine!
