A plate made by LA senior Faith Schaffer in her LA ceramics class.
Faith Schaeffer ’19 is a creative maker who uses clay, paint, pencil, the computer, and the pen to create her work. With an obvious personal expression, Faith has developed an intuitive link between her life and her artwork. Weaving her inspirations between different mediums, Faith has linked her art works to her dreams & nightmares. “Because I want most dreams to be true, and making them in 3-D helps.” As far as the darker is concerned, Faith uses nightmares as inspiration; “even if it is a nightmare, I make it because sometimes the scarier things are better than the lighter things…and sometimes the harder parts are more fun to work with.”
