After a week wrapping up course work and the fun of LA’s Annual Winter Carnival Celebration, February Vacation is upon us!  We have students fanned out around the world for this school vacation, many of whom have traveled home to spend time with family.  Traveling in winter can have challenges, so I can not stress enough the importance of making sure that your son/daughter has a well thought out travel plan.  This vacation also marks the first-ever Winter Vacation Camp at Wavus.  Our group of students will spend the week exploring the Maine outdoors, cooking food, and taking local adventures!

I would like to take a moment to highlight an exciting activity that took place in Camden, Maine (about 30 minutes north of Lincoln Academy) last weekend.  The US National Toboggan Championship Races were held at the Camden Snow Bowl.  For the first time ever, Lincoln Academy sent 5 teams to race in this event.  All five teams were made up of students from the Residential Life Program.  Click here to learn more.

Auditions for Lincolnaires February 26 – March 1:  Auditions are open to Sophomores, Juniors and very advanced Freshmen. Lincolnaires is an advanced group of predominantly Juniors and Seniors who sing soloistically and perform challenging music. Students who already know how to read music or play the piano are especially encouraged to audition! For audition information, email Ms. Preston:

April Vacation:  As a reminder, the dormitories will be closed April 13-21 for Spring Break.  If your son or daughter has not yet made plans, we are offering an opportunity to tour colleges and universities or your student may sign-up for camp through our partner Kieve-Wavus.  Click here for more details on vacation programs.

Planning Ahead: Please watch your email inbox for information about the re-enrollment process for returning students.   Updated Approved Travel Dates for the 2019/2020 school year have been posted here.
