Jarrett Gulden at the Maine Swimming Winter Championships

Four swimmers who attend Lincoln Academy: sophomore Vanessa Albert and juniors Braxton Farrin, Jarrett Gulden, and Sam Richards, competed in the Maine Swimming Winter Championship Meet that took place at the University of Maine on March 22-24. This meet is for swimmers who train with club teams, and all four swimmers competed in the highly competitive 15 and over age group.

Albert placed 8th in three events: the 100 breast, 400 individual medley, and 50 freestyle and 7th in the 200 breast. Gulden placed 6th in the 100 breast and 10th in the 200 breast. Richards placed 2nd in the 200 breast, 8th in the 100 back and 11th in the 200 back. Farrin competed in 6 events and made top ten in all but one, placing 5th in the 400 individual medley, 6th in the 100 back stroke, 8th in the 100 fly, 8th in the 200 individual medley, 10th in the 200 back and 15th in the 200 fly.

Albert trains with the Long Reach Swim Team at the Bath YMCA and Farrin, Gulden, and Richards train with the Wiscasset Unsinkables and the Lincoln Academy team.
