Dear Students, Families and Staff,
On behalf of the Resident Life Office at LA I would like to thank you for an amazing year! We have built upon the tradition of a strong and supportive community for all students, welcoming residents from 17 countries around the globe. Highlights from this past year include many student sponsored activities, new dorm parents and major academic achievements. Our students planned and organized many campus-wide events including Lunar New Year Celebrations, Winter Sports Olympics, The William Doan Show, Springfest, Gross Out Olympics and The Amazing Race.
We graduated our largest class of Residential Students to date, including this year’s Valedictorian, Kai-Lin Shen, and Salutatorian,Wenxin Liang. Our Seniors were wonderful athletes, scholars and leaders. We will miss our graduates, but look forward to seeing our underclassmen grow into these roles in the year ahead.
Thank you for your continued support of our community here at LA! We hope that you have a relaxing and productive summer!
Wishing you and your families a wonderful break,
Jake Abbott, Dean of Students and Director of Residential Life
Lincoln Academy is committed to growing into the future! Our domestic student enrollment is larger next year, and we continue our outreach to emerging markets for international students. That said, the political and economic climate makes it challenging to predict our enrollment numbers from some regions. Although there will probably be fewer students in our dorms, we will have the most cohesive and motivated community yet! We will be accepting applications from students through the summer and look forward to receiving your children again in August!
In fall 2019 we will be making visits to Europe, South East Asia, China, Kazakhstan and South America. We would love to see you and know that word of mouth is the best way to reach new students. Please help by telling others about your experience at Lincoln Academy and by joining us for outreach events in your area! My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
