This past weekend included our first wing dinner hosted by students who live in the Green Wing.  The eclectic menu of borscht, stir fry, New England clam chowder, rice joloff, and crepes reflects the creativity and diversity of our student hosts, who not only planned, prepared, and decorated for the special event, but also served their fellow students and staff.   Each dorm group will have an opportunity to prepare a special meal for the community this year.

Four Resident Life students joined Jose Cordero on a tour of Rhode Island schools including Salve Regina University, Brown University, University of Rhode Island, and Rhode Island Institute of Design.  This is one of several college tours being offered by the LA Guidance Office and Resident Life Office this year.  Please see Mr. Cordero for more information on upcoming opportunities.

Resident Life is getting ready for Halloween with dorm decorations and pumpkin carving, and students are taking part in some spooky events!  Stay tuned for more Halloween fun and photos in the next newsletter!

Thanksgiving Break:  There will be no classes November 25 – 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday, however the dorms will remain open.  Resident Life organizes special activities for students who remain on campus including a holiday dinner at Camp Kieve, an opportunity to enjoy Maine Thanksgiving traditions with a local host family, a College tour and quintessential Black Friday shopping trip. If your student will be traveling for this school vacation, please submit their travel plans via Boardingware.  Contact the Resident Life Office with any questions.
