As we approach the American Thanksgiving Holiday, we are thankful for the families that share their children with us – we have an amazing group of students in the Residential Life Program this year.  We’ve had a little snow already and more winter weather is surely ahead!  Please check in with your student about the need to purchase warm clothing.  There will be lots of opportunities to play outdoors in the snow, such as downhill skiing, Nordic skiing, skating, and sledding.

Thanksgiving:  There are no classes this week, November 25 – 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday.  On Wednesday, November 27 students will be treated to a special holiday meal hosted at the beautiful Kieve Wavus Leadership Center on Damariscotta Lake.  On Thanksgiving Day, families in the local community have invited students to their homes for a traditional holiday celebration.

Dorms will be Closed:  The dormitories will be closed for three school breaks in December, February, and April.  December Break is just one month away.  Will your student be traveling home, visiting friends, or taking part in a special program?  Please submit plans for the December, February and April Vacations through Boardingware as soon as possible.  We count on families to provide this information in a timely fasion so we can ensure all students have the support they need to get to their destinations.

  • December Break:  December 21 – January 5, 2020
  • February Break:  February 15 – February 23, 2020
  • April Break:  April 18 – April 26, 2020
