On September 14 regular instruction will begin. As long as COVID transmission in Lincoln County remains low, we will offer a 50/50 plan: each day of in-person instruction will include half of the student population, therefore each student will attend two days a week in person and three days a week virtually.
Students will be divided alphabetically, with last names A-J attending in-person on Mondays and Thursdays, and last names K-Z attending in-person on Tuesdays and Fridays*. Wednesdays will be all-virtual days. While this hybrid option is optimal for student engagement, it is possible for students to do all-virtual instruction if they have health concerns for themselves or someone in their household. We are asking students to commit (via a survey to be sent next week) to either virtual or hybrid learning during the first month of school.
*Please note that the school will change group assignments to keep siblings/household members together, accommodate vocational students, and allow for other extenuating circumstances. Students in special and alternative education programs may also be assigned a variation of the typical schedule. Please contact the Guidance or Special Education Office for information.
