2020 Visual Art Show: Arts Apart, Together2020-05-29T18:10:51-04:00
  • 2020 Visual Art Show

This 11th annual Visual Art Show showcases artwork created by students in Advanced Art and AP Art with Nina Sylvia and Ceramics with Jonathan Mess, and was built by our new Art Educator, Kate Mess.

You will see ceramics and two-dimensional works, including drawing, painting, photography, collage and mixed media, from more than 35 art students. Their work ranges from traditional materials and genres to edgy images, skillfully employing modern technology and personally relevant themes. Students usually work through all aspects of putting up an art show in a professional gallery–selecting and preparing their best work, titling, pricing, writing artist statements, and hanging the show. This is an important learning experience to culminate their year of making art–after all, art isn’t finished until you share it with others.

We are so proud of our art students and their perseverance and creativity throughout this challenging pandemic experience. Please enjoy the show and leave a comment for the artists at the bottom of their pages!
