ARTIST STATEMENT
I grew up and still live in the small town of Nobleboro with my parents and my brother. Sometimes it’s been a struggle here but we all work hard every day at what we do and how we do it. My work is usually things I come up with while making a piece, I see something like a plain bowl as a canvas that I need to mark and I just do what I like to make it look like and look good for my tastes. I usually hand-build my work because even though it seems to take longer, I love making it like that. I feel like I’m the one to jump in without thinking in my life, this is because of my personality and how I think. When people see my work I want them to not only look at the piece, but also the process and ideas that went into it to make it what it is, like my white bowl piece. I’m an artist because I love to create and I love people liking and appreciating what I make as well.
