Residential Life Update – November 1, 2020

2020-11-01T13:19:48-05:00November 1, 2020|

Happy Halloween Weekend from the Residential Life Community!   “Every year I take a group of students out trick-or-treating on Halloween, this year was a very different year,” said Dorm Parent Kristen Curtis.  “One of my favorite aspects of our program is that we always find creative and fun ways to continue to enjoy life together.”  Typically Halloween festivities in the US culminate with dressing up in costumes and trick-or-treating.  Due to the pandemic, we were not able to trick-o-treat with students this year, but still had plenty of Halloween fun including pumpkin carving, costumes, moonlight walks, a private theater showing of a scary movie, and laser tag.

Three weeks remain in the first trimester and a link to virtual parent-teacher conferences will be shared later this week.  We hope all families will be able to take part in conferences, but understand it may be difficult for our international families due to time differences.  If you can’t meet during the usual times, you can always reach out to teachers to find a time that does works for you.  Please don’t hesitate to be in touch with teachers if you have any questions or concerns:   Click Here for LA Faculty and Staff Directory.

A reminder to please review the message regarding plans for December Break.  Travel is restricted and all plans must be submitted to the Residential Life Office by November 20 for review and approval.  After this date, we will plan for the student to remain on campus.  Let us know if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Jake Abbott
