Residential Life Update – December 13, 2020

2020-12-13T16:15:56-05:00December 13, 2020|

Lots to share and be grateful for this week! On a national level, the first Covid vaccines are scheduled to be shipped across the country next week giving us renewed hope for the pandemic’s end in the coming year.  Here at LA, students and staff have demonstrated growth and a great ability to adapt to virtual learning.  Students continue to work well using online learning platforms and first trimester report cards of the 2020/2021 school year will be sent to families by email this week.  There is a planned return to hybrid learning in 2021.

Winter vacation is just around the corner December 18 – January 3.  Residential Life students have some special vacation plans to look forward to including a “Winter Wanderers’ Escape” to western Maine.  Students and dorm parent chaperones participating in this adventure will enjoy a rental house with family cooking, ski trips, and exploring winter together.  Students who opt to remain on campus will relax and enjoy small group activities such as cooking, exploring off the beaten path, and traditional Christmas holiday celebrations.  The school vacation will also provide opportunities for ski trips, dog sled rides, tubing, and fireworks to ring in the New Year.

Best regards,

Jake Abbott
