Lincoln Academy Junior Class President Izzy Petersen and Senior Class President Will Sherrill present Linda Sandefur of the Ecumenical Food Pantry in Newcastle with a donation from the annual Homecoming Coin Slam.
Every year as part of Homecoming Spirit week competition, Lincoln Academy classes compete to raise money for a local cause through a coin slam. This year the seniors won the competition, which raised $1000 for the Ecumenical Food Pantry in Newcastle.
On Friday, October 15, senior class president Will Sherrill and junior class president Izzy presented Linda Sandefur, Co-Manager of the Food Pantry, with a check for $1000 as part of the weekly Lincoln Academy Community Meeting.
