From the Head of School: Fall Updates

Fall golden hour on the LA campus.

The fall sports season is nearing its completion and I wanted to recognize all of our athletes who competed in soccer, field hockey, golf, and cross country. It was great to see so many students out on the fields and trails this fall, and I hope we’ll see another strong turnout for the Winter season as well.

It was another great weekend for LA XC! Senior Grace Houghton’s 5th place finish and Liam Card’s 11th place were bolstered by strong team performances to spring both girls and boys teams into the State Meet this weekend in Belfast. Good luck to them all.

Also nearing the end of their season, our performing artists will present Oklahoma! in the Poe Theatre, opening November 4. This will be a show you won’t want to miss, and tickets will certainly go quickly. I’m very excited to see our performers get a chance to perform on the stage again after a long time without live theater.

Please join us this Friday, October 29 for a Parent Meet and Greet, which will take place in conjunction with a Halloween Trunk or Treat event organized by the LA Student Ambassadors. We will follow this up with a LAPA meeting the following week. Stay tuned for details! As always, there is a lot happening at LA.
