Homecoming Highlights
Leaves are changing color and the evenings are crisp, sure signs of autumn in Maine! Another sign of the season is the annual Homecoming celebration which took place over the past week. We had dress-up days, the first school dance of the year, athletic events, a parade, and class competitions. Homecoming brought out a tremendous showing of school spirit and was a fun way to introduce our newest students to Eagle Pride. Several new students joined the Residential Program in September including Prompt from Thailand, Guilio from Italy, Ashley from Maine, and Margaret and Violet from Vietnam. Welcome to LA!
Nearly all of our students have now received an Omicron booster and the remainder will be administered soon. As more activities move indoors during the colder weeks ahead we are grateful for this additional measure of precaution to keep our community healthy.
If your family has not already signed-up for notifications through our student management software, Orah, please be on the lookout for a welcome email with instructions. Your student will be using the Orah platform to request parent/guardian permission for certain activities and events and it is important to make sure your account is active and up-to-date. Please let us know if you have any questions.
There will be lots of opportunities for students to experience seasonal activities this fall including a white water rafting trip, foliage sightseeing, hiking trips, visits to coastal villages, Thanksgiving celebrations and more. Looking forward to sharing this special time of year with our students!

February 2023 Trip to Quebec
February 18-21, 2023 Visit: Old Quebec, Montmorency Falls, the Ice Hotel, the Funicular, Plains of Abraham Museum, a Huron Village, a “ghost” tour of Old France, a sugar house, and more. Activities: Snow rafting, sliding on inner tubes, dog sledding, ice skating …. See Ms. Welch for information.
