On Tuesday, November 8th, LA students played in the 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament in the Lincoln Academy Gym. This well-loved event has been running for at least 20 years. This basketball tournament was organized by Mr. Page and had nine teams in attendance. This casual event sparked stiff competition with a friendly atmosphere.
Freshman Maggie Thompson who participated in the tournament said, “the tournament was a great way for everybody to come together and have a friendly game.”
Tournament founder and organizer Mr. Page said, “I enjoy the tournament each fall because it involves the participation of so many different people, players, faculty, residential students and some who just want to have fun. There is always a good number of students who just come to watch and get a feel for the upcoming basketball season.”
The spirit of cooperation continued throughout the competition but in the end, only one team could win. The winning team was made up of LA varsity basketball players Jack Duncan ‘23, Tyson Ball ‘25, and Gabe Hagar ‘24.
