…and we’re back!
The dorm has been full of excited energy this past week as students reconnect with friends and meet new ones following the holiday break. We have five students joining the residential life community at this mid-point in the school year, including our most recent arrival, Delane, from Vietnam. Many of our students have also been excited to welcome the newest addition to the Tan household, a playful kitten named Ube.
Winter weather has been mild so far this season, but we are expecting more cold temperatures and snow ahead. Please make sure your student has warm winter clothing including jacket, hat, gloves and boots for playing in the snow. Upcoming winter events include a ski trip to Sugarloaf, Winter Carnival and ice skating. Many of our students recently braved a polar dip in Damaricsotta Harbor, tried indoor rock climbing, and met some curious alpacas.
School Vacation Plans: The dormitory will be closed for school vacations February 18-26 and April 15-23. Travel plans for February break are due by January 20th. There is still time to register for Winter Camp at Kieve-Wavus. As a reminder, the Approved Travel Dates for 2022/23 and 2023/24 are linked below:
