Three Lincoln Academy students have been selected as Bath Regional Career and Technical Center (BRCTC) spring 2023 Students of the Semester. The three honorees are junior Tucker Stiles for electrical, senior Colby Wellman for welding, and senior Thomas White for graphic design.
In presenting the awards, BRCTC faculty wrote the following about each recipient:
“Tucker [Stiles] makes things happen. He is a leader in the classroom, athletics, and the community. Tucker is kind and easy to approach. He recently volunteered to go to the elementary and middle schools in his district to tell students about our CTE program. He is making a difference in the lives of those younger students. Great job, Tucker!”
“Colby [Wellman] is a quiet but skilled welder with career goals, and it shows. He’s currently learning how to weld back-gouge wide flange beam, something no other student has done. He stays focused on his work and rarely gets off-task.His quiet demeanor and willingness to learn and listen is an asset. He’s confident and capable while still recognizing his limits, and knows when to ask for help.”
“Thomas White is a second-year graphic design student. He comes to class with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Tom has strong concept development skills and a fun sense of humor. When he puts his mind to something, there is no stopping him! Tom has been a strong role model for his peers and treats everyone with respect. He is still deciding what he wants to do next year, but has an interest in videography and storytelling. When Tom finds his creative outlet, no doubt he will shine!”
