Meet the Director of Residential Programs

Jake Abbott

Dear Parents and Students,

Allow me to welcome you to the Lincoln Academy community. We are a school that for over two hundred years has been preparing students to meet the intellectual demands of full citizenship by providing a learning environment where all students can achieve their highest potential. Our community is warm and welcoming, where everyone is involved in the life of the school.

As the Director of Resident Life, my responsibility is to help make your experience here as productive and powerful as possible. We offer a wide range of opportunities for our students to build knowledge, skills and social values while encouraging all students to have high aspirations for themselves.

In the resident community we focus on three core principles: Involvement in the community, Communication and Respect. One way or the other, these three principles inform all that we do in the resident community here at Lincoln.

As we get closer to the beginning of school I’m sure you will have a variety of questions on a variety of topics. While we will continue to provide information to you, if you have a question and you’re not sure of the answer, please feel free to reach out directly to me.

I’m excited to meet you and welcome you in person to our community. This is going to be a fantastic year and I’m very much looking forward to it.

With warm regards,

Jacob Abbott
