Mr. Goetting joined Lincoln as Associate Head of School for Advancement in January of 2014 and now oversees all of the Academy's External Affairs, including fundraising, admissions, communications, and community relations. He is proud to work with a team of colleagues to help spread the word about the great work that goes on at Lincoln. Prior to arriving in Maine, he served as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Girard College, a 1-12 residential school for scholarship-able children, in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Goetting transitioned to the field of education as the Director of Reunion Giving at Stanford Law School after starting his career as a management consultant in Washington DC and San Francisco.
Moving to Maine was the fulfillment of a dream for Matt, his wife Karen, an elementary school art teacher and graphic designer, and their beloved dog Franklin. He grew up visiting his amazing Auntie Joe in Maine and, more recently, he and Karen vacationed on Peaks Island before striking gold with their relocation to the midcoast. Matt and Karen most enjoy spending time with their friends and family but love tending to their chickens and finding ways to participate in the life of this incomparable region and community.
