Alison Welch was born in Connecticut but grew up in Waterloo, Belgium where she attended a French-speaking Belgian school for 5 years. Alison taught at schools in Louisiana, Connecticut and at the Carrabassett Valley Academy at Sugarloaf Mountain prior to arriving at Lincoln Academy in the fall of 1993. She lives in Hope with many four-legged friends. Alison spends a lot of time with her two sons, Jake, currently an engineering major at UMaine at Orono, and Will, a student at Maine Maine Maritime Academy. She enjoys riding and training horses, and competes them in three-phase events. Other interests include traveling, hiking, kayaking, downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and spending summers on Mooselookmeguntic Lake. She is also the team leader the Class of 2018 and was accepted at an AP Reader for the Advanced Placement French Language and Culture Exam. In addition, she serves as co-chair of the LA Governance Committee.
