Senior Tea

What is Senior Tea?

Who: Seniors and guests served by faculty and the National Honor Society Juniors.

What:Ā A traditional celebration of graduation seniors with faculty pouring tea and serving pastry and snacks to the students. This year we will also be presenting the Senior Slide Show being put together by our Yearbook Committee.

The event provides lots of opportunity to walk around and greet other students, guests and the teachers.Ā  This is great opportunity for guests to chat with students and teachers in a strictly social setting.Ā  We hope you can join us.

Where: Alumni Dining Commons

Senior Picnic

Wednesday, May 31

What is Senior Picnic?

Who: Seniors and Faculty only

What:Ā  This is event is packed with fun, information and preparation for Senior Week ceremonies.Ā  Starting at 11:30 Seniors will practice marching (this part is mandatory).Ā  Followed by a pizza picnic catered by The Penalty Box.Ā  Students will get a brief introduction to their roles as alumni of Lincoln Academy and be treated to ice cream by the Alumni Council and our Development office team.Ā  Ā Yearbooks will be distributed at the end of the event.

Where: Stanley Waltz Field

11:30 Marching Practice (mandatory)
12:30 Picnic
1:30 Ice Cream and Yearbooks

Dress: Casual

Class Night & Reception

What is Class Night?

Who:Ā Seniors and Guests

What:Ā  An evening of award presentations honoring Senior achievements at Lincoln Academy and highlighting future aspirations.Ā  Guests will be invited to join the celebration. The event is usually about an hour and a half, and families are invited but not required to attend.

Following the event will be a small reception for award recipients, donors and award representatives.

Baccalaureate March and Ceremony

Thursday, June 1

What is Baccalaureate?

Who: Seniors and Guests

What: Baccalaureate March and Baccalaureate Ceremony

Where:
Assemble in downtown Damariscotta in the Municipal Parking Lot behind Renys
March to Stanley Waltz Field
Baccalaureate Ceremony will occur on the Stanley Waltz Field

When:
6:00 pm Arrive at Municipal Parking Lot
6:15 pm start marching from in front of Lincoln Theater
6:45 – 7:00 Ceremony begins

The March is weather permitting. The Baccalaureate Ceremony will be moved into the gymnasium if rain prevents an outdoor event. Any changes will be communicated on this page.

Please note: Seniors and families are invited to have a family portrait with their graduate taken on Thursday, June 1.

4:30-5:30 pm Family Photo Station. Location: next to the Bus Loop and below the Dining Commons (rain location: Fishbowl). These photos will be posted on Flickr and can be downloaded for printing or sharing.

Graduation 2016

Commencement/Graduation Ceremony

Friday, June 2

Who: Seniors, Faculty/Staff and Guests

What: Commencement Ceremony is the culmination of Senior Week, as students and their guests celebrate their graduation. More than a thousand people will gather on Stanley Waltz Field to watch the Class of 2023 receive diplomas. The ceremony will include speeches and diplomas are presented by senior advisors. Commencement lasts about 90 minutes.

Where: Lincoln Academy – Stanley Waltz Field

When: 4:00 pm

Barring extreme weather conditions, graduation will be held outside rain or shine. This year some outdoor seating will be under cover; though covered seating is limited and is not reservable. Attendees should be prepared with rain gear if rain is forecast. The ceremony will be live streamed on the Lincoln County Television (LCTV) website, and this stream will be projected inside the gym for anyone who prefers to sit inside.
