Senior Cookout 2019
Class Night

Class Night – Tuesday, June 1

Where: Track Field Pavilion on the LA Campus
What: Marching practice, Senior Cookout, Class Night, Senior Sunset, Slide Show
Dress: Seniors please bring a change of clothes.  Cookout: Casual Dress.    Class Night: semi-formal dress.

3:00 pm Marching Practice (mandatory!) followed by Class Cookout. Yearbooks distributed to seniors.
5:30 pm change into semi-formal attire for Class Night (Locker Rooms will be open)
6:00 pm Class Night begins at the Track Field Pavilion. Guests are welcome!
7:30 pm Senior Sunset on Track Field
8:30 pm Senior Slideshow at the Pavilion

** RAIN: marching practice, cookout, yearbook distribution, Class Night, and Slide Show will move inside the gym. No spectators will be allowed if the event is indoors (decision announced by 9am).

Baccalaureate – Thursday, June 3

Where: Start Downtown, March to Track Field Pavilion.
What: Baccalaureate March and Ceremony
Dress for seniors: Caps and Gowns

4:00 Dedication of the stone to Isabelle Manahan ‘21 at the Isabelle Tree. All welcome.
4:45-5:45 Photo Station for family photos (near Dining Commons). Families who would like a family portrait with their grad in cap and gown are welcome to get their photo taken.
6:00 Seniors gather downtown (wearing caps and gowns!) and march to campus
6:45/7 pm Baccalaureate begins at the Pavilion. Guests are welcome! 

** Baccalaureate is a series of speeches addressed to the Class of 2021. All speakers are invited by the Senior Class.

** in case of rain: march will be canceled, and Baccalaureate will move inside the gym. No spectators will be allowed if the event is indoors.

Graduation 2016

Graduation – Friday, June 4

Where: Augusta Civic Center
What: Commencement Ceremony
Dress for seniors: Caps and Gowns

1:00 pm Processional rehearsal at Augusta Civic Center begins promptly at 1:00. Plan to arrive and be ready to begin by 1:00.
1:30 pm Senior and senior advisors rehearse diploma presentation onstage with Mr. Abbott.
3:00 pm Doors open for guests. Guests will not be allowed to enter the Civic Center early, nor line up outside more than 15 minutes early.
3:15 pm Faculty and Staff arrive after school. Head to green room for quick walk through of faculty march and seating arrangements
4:00 pm Commencement Begins
6:00 pm Clean up

Graduation Updates as of May 18, 2021

  • Augusta Civic Center doors open at 3:00 pm on June 4th. 
  • No capacity limits or contact tracing at the Civic Center. Unlimited guests.
  • No tickets required for entry. Guests no longer have to register unless you need accommodations for seating.
  • Only seniors, faculty and staff, and guests who need accommodations will sit in floor seating.
  • Masks are required inside the building, and outside if visitors cannot maintain 6’ distance
  • All employees who plan to march with Seniors should arrive by 3:15.
  • All other guests will sit in stadium seating.

COVID policies for graduation events:

  • Indoor settings ~ Masks must be worn in all indoor settings, including the Civic Center.
  • Outdoor settings ~ Masks should be worn when people are unable to keep a six-foot distance.
  • If you have any of these symptoms (Fever or chills, cough, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea) or test positive for COVID, please do not come to graduation events.
