Preparing Our Future
Who was involved in the planning process? The planning process included broad participation from the Lincoln Academy community. We engaged members of the greater midcoast community who brought their relevant expertise to the process. Lincoln Academy hired a planning consultant, Ian Symmonds & Associates, to lead us through the planning process.
What was the role of the steering committee? The Steering Committee conducted the Work Groups, collected and assessed community feedback, and ultimately made recommendations to the Head of School and Board of Trustees on which strategic directions Lincoln Academy should pursue.
Who is leading the implementation process? The Head of School, with support from the faculty and administration, leads the implementation process in close partnership with Board of Trustees.
How long will the process take? The planning process began Spring ’15 and concluded with the Board’s adoption of the plan in the Summer ’16. Many of the items identified in the plan will be addressed this year while others require a long-term commitment. Schools generally go through a planning process every five to seven years.
