Want to know what’s going on in the Damariscotta mudflats? Come learn about marine ecology and study green crabs this fall!

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cleans, deburrs, polishes, or grinds parts using hand tools or powered equipment, performing and combination of following tasks: scrapes or rubs parts with a file, wire brush or buffing cloth.
  • Holds part against buffing or grinding wheel, deburrs or polishes parts using portable grinder, chipping hammer, buffer, deburring tool or hand pick.
  • Mounts part on revolving spindle or chuck and holds or moves tools such as file, abrasive stone or cloth against work piece to file, grind, polish or buff surface.
  • Cleans interior surfaces of holes using reamer, changes tools on powered equipment.
  • Follows all safety procedures for the area, does end of shift housekeeping to maintain clean and safe area.

Masters Machine Company – Part time Packer/Shipper Position

The Packer & Shipper provides support to our operation team by working safely, inspecting finished products for defects, and packing them in correct configuration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect finished products, place products in automated parts cleaning machine as necessary.
  • Enter products into computer system.
  • Weigh and pack products according to customer specifications.
  • Keep area clean and orderly.

Nobleboro/Jefferson Transfer Station & Maintenance Position

This is a part-time job 24-hours a week, year-round position. The work week is 

Tuesday thru Saturday 8:00 am-4:00pm. It could become full time if candidate is 

looking for full time work. 

Transfer Station Attendant– You will be working with other attendant as well as the Transfer Station Manager. Duties are shared between the three employees with the Manager being responsible for directing daily duties of the attendants. This position would require some manual labor. You must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.  You will be assisting citizens in proper disposal of waste materials.

Computer skills are necessary in the daily operations of the Transfer Station but not required. The scales used for weighing the commercial trucks are attached to the computer in the Transfer Station Office. 

We are willing to train and must be available for training as needed. Customer Service is key for this position. We offer competitive Pay

  • Ice cream Maker–experience the joy of making a huge bucket of ice cream in 10 minutes! If customer service isn’t your thing, maybe making ice cream is. Flexible hours, as little as 10 hours a week or as many as 20. You can supplement your summer income with a few hours of fun making ice cream. 
  • Shop manager—performs many of the above tasks/duties, oversees daily duties of other employees, and has more responsibility, with higher pay. Must be at least 20 years old. Part or full-time position. Previous experience working in a direct customer service job required. Perfect job for college students.

CLC YMCA After School program: Thrive at the Y

CLC YMCA’s after school care program is looking to fill a couple of staff positions for 2-3 hours in the afternoons on weekdays a few times per week. The position is available to students 16 and older and includes working with pre-K and grade school age children, playing games and having fun at the Y.  Starting pay is $12.75/hour and staff is eligible for a $200/month stipend in addition to this.
